The First Annual Wisconsin Walk for Hope (2010) was a blessing for many people! We shared our grief and our joyful memories together, and we experienced a touch of healing, even if only for a moment.
As we move forward this year to discover a new hope and purpose for living – we pray that each of us will find the strength and courage we need, to go on another day without our children by our side. So often, the pain that we experience from losing a child can be so overwhelming that it seems entirely impossible to make it another day. Although we may feel this way on many days, we move forward with hope in hearts…that we will one day see our children again!
If you are struggling today, we pray you will find some comfort in knowing that you are not alone! Although every story is unique, we share a common bond of grief that is only familiar to those of us who has lost a child. If you are mourning today, then we mourn with you. If you are rejoicing in sweet memories, then we rejoice with you as well!
No matter how we feel – on any given day – we are right where we are supposed to be in our personal process of grief. It is safe to let go and trust the process.
